Cluster Schenker Nordics includes all five Nordic countries with more than 6,000 employees and thousands of happy customers across the Nordics and beyond. Insurance belongs to the Risk Management department and in our department, we are about 40 colleagues across the five countries. You will be working closely with our Loss Prevention, Claims and Legal teams, as well as our Business Units, Sales, and Real Estate companies. Job duties & key tasks:
As the Insurance Manager for Cluster Nordic, you will be the specialist within the field of Insurance and Liability. You will be supporting DB Schenker's organizations in Sweden, Finland, Norway, Denmark, and Iceland. Even if we do use our native Nordic tongues often, English is the working language of DB Schenker and we expect you to be fluent in English, both written and spoken.
As the specialist on Insurance your primary responsibility is to work with the Nordic Schenker-companies' insurance coverage, making sure that we have the right insurance protection to cover the risks and liabilities we have. The work includes renewal and negotiation with the local insurance companies, as well as supporting the organization in their insurance and liability matters. Schenker has a global insurance organization that you will work closely with concerning our global insurance solutions and the development of the insurance side of the business. We also expect that you can find opportunities for development locally within the Nordic cluster.
Your tasks also include reviewing contracts for risk/liability and identify insurance or other mitigation needs. You are expected to formulate contractual language to meet your suggested mitigation.
We also expect you to be able to present and educate our organization as well as our customers on insurance and liability issues, and other related fields. The job might include some travelling.
Qualifications:
You have a degree equivalent to university level in Law, Economy, or Engineering. You have at least seven to ten years of experience from working in the insurance field, in an insurance company or similar.
We attach great importance to personal suitability. You have great integrity and are solution oriented, to instill trust and establish a positive network. The work also requires you to make decisions independently and drive the work forward within your areas of responsibility.
In relation to colleagues, customers, and external parties - curiosity, responsiveness and cooperativeness are important qualities. You need to be structured with good administrative skills.
Preferably but not necessarily you:
* Are fluent in one of the Nordic languages, as well as English, both spoken and written.
* Have a Law degree within Insurance or Transport Law.
* Experience from the Insurer side.
* Experience from transport or logistics business.
