We are looking to employ a candidate for our client Cavidi in Uppsala. Do you have a background within Instrument development, Serving analytical instruments or other experience from the MedTech or BioTech industry then you might be exactly the right person for this consultant assignment! The assignment, which is placed in Uppsala, is planned to start as soon as possible and proceed until the end of the year to start with. About Cavidi
Cavidi is Sweden's leading supplier of viral load for HIV monitoring. Cavidi's products enable efficient management of anti-HIV drugs (ARV therapy) so that people living with HIV can live a normal lifespan. Cavidi is a Swedish biotech company founded as a spin-off from Uppsala University. Their expertise is based on understanding viruses and using this knowledge to create research tools and clinical diagnostics. Today their focus is on HIV but their methods and expertise can be applied to other viruses.
Cavidi's head office is in Uppsala, Sweden and they have sales offices in South Africa, India and USA. Their customers include hospitals, patient clinics, private laboratories, the pharmaceutical industry and research institutions worldwide.
Description of the role:
Cavidi is looking to strengthen our System Integration team to secure the finalization of a large product development project aiming to automate a test for measuring HIV viral load in blood plasma samples. The main work task will be to setup and tune hardware and software in Cavidi's proprietary ZivaTM platform to secure functional instruments for verification studies. A candidate with the right experience will also be included in the verification, troubleshooting and deviation handling. It is a full time assignment and we are looking to fill this position as soon as possible.
Qualifications:
We are looking for someone holding a Master of Science, either with a biotechnology profile, or a more technical background with interest in biotechnology and life science. You should have experience from working with instrument and system development, preferably from life science and MedTech. Previous experience in working with liquid handling robots as well as understanding of basic programming is advantageous.
You have to be fluent in English, both spoken and written.
Personal characteristics:
You have to be structured, thorough and have great deal of patience in this role. You also have to honour deadlines, be able to deliver according to set plans and clearly communicate any deviations as soon as they occur.
