To provide expertise in the design and development of learning offerings to meet agreed learning objectives. This includes bringing innovative design methodologies and respecting the VGU standards. It results in attractive, quality assured, and effective learning solutions for the Volvo Group.
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities
• Accountable for ensuring VGU quality on new developments and on enhancements and maintenance of on-shelf offerings from all Academies
• In cooperation with Learning Program Managers:
• analyze learning needs including audience characteristics and desired behavioral change and translate to learning objectives per offering and evaluation measures
• define content together with business experts, partners and other stakeholders
• Choose methodology/ies and create innovative design in line with agreed parameters
• Drive the development, producing required components like training material and/or manuscript according to development specification and VGU standards
• Secure compliance to VGU quality criteria in all deliveries
• Contribute to the continuous development of modern learning methodologies to ensure consistent and effective learning offerings for the Volvo Group
• Contribute to forming and improving the ways of working in the Training Development Process including methods, guidelines, supporting tools and templates
• Contribute to the development and implementation of the Trainer certification process as well as quality assurance procedures

Educational and/or Training Qualifications and Certificates
University degree or equivalent combination of education, training and experience in Adult Learning, Instructional Design to meet the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
Experience and Knowledge
• Strong business understanding and customer focus.
• Solid knowledge, experience and track record from the learning area and instructional design
• A true interest in the digitalization of learning, the development of Self Directed Learning and an understanding of the challenges attached to this transformation
• Competence in designing "learning solutions" (instructor led, e-learning, serious games, social learning & communities of knowledge, etc...)
• Excellent ability to inspire and release creativity, communicate and teach
• Excellent ability to lead development work and manage details
• Excellent ability to team work with relevant stakeholders and partners inside and outside the Volvo Group
• Strong ability to support and challenge the Academies and the business to safeguard quality, consistency and effectiveness for the Volvo Group
Technical/Functional/Language Skills
• Ability to work effectively with the Volvo Group strategy, its organization and values.
• Proficiency in the English language is required as VGU is a global function and the working language and documentation is in English.
• Good understanding of project management tools and methods.
