The team is based in Stockholm, where your internship will take place for 2 months on a full time basis. (June-July, and the internship is paid).
We work in a hybrid mode, meaning that we spread our weeks between some days at home, and some at the office to meet and collaborate effectively.
A look at what you would do:
You will be given your own tasks and a senior mentor who will support you through the whole eight weeks of your internship, you will work together with experienced members of the team and get to know more about IT security.
At the end of the internship period, you will share a summary of what you have done, learnt, and your ideas and findings for future improvements.
We can offer technical and non-technical security tasks, depending on your background and on what you would like to participate in.
Technical tasks:

Design and execute internal penetration testing activities targeting applications, infrastructure, endpoints, or even physical locations

Assess vulnerabilities when they are discovered and work on improving our scanning tools

Contribute to security activities in our DevSecOps lifecycle, including but not limited to code and web application scanning or threat modelling and detection

Contribute to the security measures of our cloud environments (GCP, AWS)
Functional tasks:

Contribute to improve security standards and ensure compliance with security best practices and legal requirements (ISO 2700x, PSD2, GDPR...)

Support product and tech teams to put security measures in the heart of our products

Perform controls or audits on systems and identify improvements

Follow up on security metrics
Who are we looking for?

Bachelor or Master student in computer science or IT security (preferably 3rd-5th year student)

Fluency in English

Good communication skills
-
Creative and brainstorm ideas for ways we can further improve

Your own unique skill set to the table

A curious thinker who can find ways forward

A positive mindset ready for challenges
Please note that we will not offer relocation services for the internship and we are unfortunately not able to hire someone in a country where Schibsted does not have a legal entity.
