hela Sverige We are now recruiting informaticians to the department of R&D Information, AstraZeneca, Mölndal. Preferred start is as soon as possible. Initial duration of the positions is 6 months with possibility to be extended.
The informaticians will provide informatics services to scientist and collaborate with other informaticians within the cardiovascular (CVGI) and respiratory and inflammation (R&I) disease area organisation. Depending on the expertise of the successful applicant, as well as current priorities, tasks may include classical bio-/chemo-/clinical informatics tasks, data integration, data analysis and data visualization across internal and external sources.
We are looking for candidates with interdisciplinary skills within life science and informatics as listed below.
• Broad scientific understanding (in biology/chemistry/medicine or related area), experience of cross-disciplinary work is preferable.
• Proven experience within the last 2 years of basic computational technologies including scripting (e.g. Perl, Python, Knime, Pipeline Pilot etc.), databases (e.g. SQL), viz tools (e.g. Spotfire, Cytoscape), and analysis tools (R, SAS).
• Experience within informatics and information sciences (bioinformatics, chemoinformatics) is advantages.
To be successful in this role it is essential to have excellent communication and social skills as well as being an analytical problem solver. Good collaborative skills are necessary and you should be comfortable to work in an international environment. Excellent English is required, both spoken and in writing.
