Atlantic Container Line is a Swedish company with head office in New Jersey, USA. Since 1967, ACL has been a specialized carrier of containers, project and oversized cargo, heavy equipment and vehicles with the world's largest combined vessels that handles both containers and Ro/Ro. ACL offers weekly direct service between Gothenburg and North America and from 2017 we are operating the trade with new top modern vessels. ACL is a company of the Grimaldi Group of Naples, Italy.
ACL is now looking for a person with a logistics background that want to be a key player in their Import and Logistics team.
Work description
The role of Import and Logistics Supervisor includes team responsibility while working operational within the team. You will have staff responsibility for three colleagues.
Main responsibilities:
• Manage and develop the import and logistics function in Gothenburg
• Negotiate transport contracts with rail operators and road carriers
• Follow-up on KPI's
• Manage costs for logistics operations
• Manage customs reporting
• Manage import documentation process
• Manage claims function
• Control of:
• - Unit reporting
• - Inland transports
• - Transshipment
• - Equipment repairs
Qualifications
• Higher education in Logistics/Supply Chain or equivalent
• Several years of experience in logistics area, preferably in shipping
• Experience in leadership
• Excellent MS Office skills
• Fluent in Swedish and English, written and spoken
