Our Business Unit High Voltage, a global player in high-voltage products and applications from 66 kV to 1200 kV, AC and DC, is looking for a driven leader with solid engineering background and strong team leadership skills for its Northern Europe Hub Technology Center (TC).

In this high-impact role, you will lead our Hub Technology Center for High Voltage Products with 80 people across 3 locations: Ludvika (Sweden), Lódz (Poland), and Charleroi (Belgium). The preferred job location is Ludvika or Västerås.

Tasks:

The TC manager creates and sustains a technical organization that can deliver a steady stream of new and competitive products, which will provide the future revenue and profit stream of the business. The goal is to defend and advance our market share and profitability by employing the best and the latest technology in our products so as to meet and exceed our customer's expectations.

The role responsibilities include:

STRATEGY
• Establish the Technology Center (TC) mission, vision and organizational structure to support the global BU long-term strategy (3-5years), in cooperation with the respective Product Group Technology Managers (PGTM) and Business Unit Technology Manager (BUTM).

RESOURCES MANAGEMENT
• Be responsible for hiring, development, job rotation, re-allocation, annual performance review (PDA) and compensation structure for all TC members (in coordination with the local HR management and according local HR rules).

FINANCIAL PROCESSES
• Prepare annual and multi-year TC budget

PROJECT EXECUTION
• Ensure efficient project execution: on-time, on budget and within scope
• Ensure most economical local allocation and prioritization of resources
• Ensure quality of solutions and appropriate risk management is in place
• Ensure that global and strategic priorities prevail local R&D tasks

Requirements:

University degree in Electrical Engineering, mechanical engineering, Material, Physics, or other related disciplines, ideally with connection with High Voltage products or electronics technology. Proven experience in providing technological direction for projects, processes and tools, R&D, knowledge transfer and, networking. You should also have a strong mindset on result orientation, be customer/market oriented, and have experience in change leadership.

Further you should have:
• Team leadership experience, ideally also across various locations, is a plus.
• Thorough knowledge of intellectual property and risk management issues, financing and budgeting.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken, and excellent presentation skills.
• Notable people management, influencing and networking skills in a highly international and multi-cultural context.
• Innovative and creative mind-set, with a tendency to challenge and improve existing approaches.
