hela Sverige Overview The Health & Safety Manager will organise, monitor and ensure the station is fully compliant with our internal health, safety & security standards and all relevant industry requirements. You will work with all departmental managers, duty managers, allocators, and crew chiefs to ensure the required level of compliance is maintained at all times. The successful candidate will also manage, support and develop the training department in line with the Menzies Group Learning and Development Policy. You'll lead and actively promote Health, Safety & Security across the station and build relationships with key stakeholders, airline customers, airport authorities and national regulatory bodies. You will drive standards and compliance across the station, providing expert advice and guidance to the management team. You will actively promote a fair and just reporting culture at all times.
Main Duties and accountabilities:
* Ensure the daily, weekly and monthly ramp inspection targets for all aircraft turnarounds from arrival to departure are met, including GSE, Baggage Sortation, Towing and Aircraft Security.
• Prepare clear and concise reports within our safety management system and follow-up on all root cause analysis, corrective and preventative actions.
• Be able to confidently communicate with all levels of staff throughout the business including the delivery of daily and weekly safety briefings. * Deliver and promote continuous improvement to achieve a positive reduction in personal injury, aircraft damage and GSE accidents.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and work place inspections as requested by the Health & Safety Manager.
• Take an active lead in any immediate accidents or incidents.
• Ensure consistent supervision is maintained on all airside activities.
• Review, amend and implement local operating procedures.
• Ensure that all employees are wearing the correct PPE and uniform in accordance with the Menzies Uniform and Appearance Policy. Candidate requirements
• Previous experience of working within a Health, Safety & Security role essential.
• Good knowledge of European Health, Safety & Security Legislation within Ground Handling.
• Experience in de-icing and aircraft washing a distinct advantage.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to communicate and influence others at all levels within the business.
• Good knowledge of GSE, airline and airport systems.
• Good Knowledge of the English language, both written and spoken.
Candidate requirements:
