About this role
As our Head of Promotions and Ads, you are responsible for Mathem's campaign success. You ensure campaigns are delivered effectively, always with the customer in mind and with a strong focus on quality and commercial impact. Together with your team of four colleagues, you turn strategy into engaging campaigns and ensure strong execution throughout the year.
In this role, you bring a strong understanding of how successful campaigns are built and how they connect with supplier partnerships and annual commercial cycles. A confident negotiator, you know how to identify opportunities and create value for the business. As a leader, you bring people together, motivate and develop your team, and create momentum around shared goals and performance.
What you'll actually do
Strategic Direction: You set the overall promotion strategy and ensure it supports Mathem's growth and profitability ambitions.
Promotional Leadership: You oversee the full promotional lifecycle, providing the structure and priorities that guide the team's planning and execution throughout the year.
Supplier Negotiations: You lead /are a core Stakeholder in key supplier negotiations and work closely with Procurement and Category Managers to secure strong commercial agreements that support our campaign goals.
Team Leadership: You develop the team, strengthening their capabilities in promotion planning, supplier collaboration, and commercial thinking.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: You work closely with internal stakeholders to align campaigns with commercial priorities and expected sales volumes, as well as identifying and contributing to tech development of tools and processes.
Good to know: This role will be part of our Commercial Leadership team, which sets direction and aligns with Mathem's business goals.

What we really appreciate for this role in specific is if you have:
Deep understanding of consumer campaigns.
Good knowledge of trends and competitors within the industry.
Experience within fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG).
Strong data-analysis skills
Strong negotiation skills with suppliers.
Proven leadership experience in complex environments.
A team player mindset, while enjoying working solo on some projects..
Most important is that you thrive when the pace is high, ideas flow fast, and people are passionate about their work. You care about customers, diversity, and sustainability, but you also know how to laugh along the way!
What would be nice to have
A great plus for this role is the following:
Hold an academic degree in Economics, Marketing, Business Administration, or a similar field, at least at the Bachelor level.
Experience working with tools such as Nielsen data, RELEX Promotion, Looker or similar ones.
Proficiency in Swedish and English, written and spoken.
Success in the role will be measured through adherence to budgetary constraints, achievement of key performance indicators such as volume sold on deal, price discount, gross margin, ad sales, and promotional revenue, as well as the successful execution of strategic plans and campaign goals.
