What you will be a part of
Group Legal Affairs is looking for a Head of Legal, Business Area Support and Services, based in Linköping.
Group Legal Affairs is headed by the General Counsel and is organized in different functions (one for each business area, Ethics and Compliance, Corporate Export Compliance, Market Network Management etc.) with fifteen experienced legal counsels located on five different sites in Sweden.
Business Area Support and Services offers support solutions and services to customers within defence and civil security and to civil aircraft operators. The solutions and services include technical maintenance, lifecycle logistics, spare parts, products and services that make it easier for customers to operate in locations with limited infrastructure, security systems and solutions for secure communication.
Your role
You will head the function "Legal, Business Area Support and Services" within Group Legal Affairs.The position entails a close cooperation with the business area management team, the responsibility to ensure that the business area receives professional and adequate business oriented legal support and to manage the other legal counsel working within the function.
You will report to Saab's General Counsel.
In addition to manage the legal support to one of Saab's business areas, you will be given the opportunity to work in a global and complex environment with challenging errands, pushing your development every day.
This position requires extensive travelling in Sweden and internationally from time to time.
Your skills and experience
We are looking for a person with a law degree, minimum ten years relevant work experience (including complex international business negotiations and work in an international business environment), relevant knowledge of global laws and regulations, good communication skills and preferably also management experience. We believe that you have experience from working as a senior legal counsel in a company or as a commercial lawyer in a well reputed major law firm.
You combine your experience, knowledge and skills with good judgment, analytical capacity, high integrity and excellent service.
As a person you are driven, enjoy working and cooperating with other people, have the ability to manage and enthuse your team and have an outstanding ability to turn individual efforts into productivity and added business value.
We expect you to have excellent skills in Swedish and English both written and spoken.
