Digitalization in the interface to our customers as well as in our internal ways of working is also an important factor when designing our future IT landscape and tools.
We are entering a new phase in establishing stronger collaboration between IT and our business processes, and in order to bring IT closer to our business, we are now looking for someone to lead Sandvik Coromant's IT organization - someone who is motivated by the opportunity to be part of a new initiative and lead the way forward. The position will preferably be located in Sandviken.
Key performance areas
In this position, you are accountable for the effectiveness of our IT solutions. By this we mean both how well IT is designed to support our daily operations and also the availability of our platforms and solutions in all parts of the world. You are able to contribute to digitalization that increases our efficiency and truly understand how digitalization will change and strengthen our customer offer.
You create awareness of IT's value and act to ensure successful deliveries and communicate effectively with the entire organization. Naturally, you work closely to SMS IT and Sandvik GSS and ensure the development and commitment of the team and develop relationships, and by challenging the way we have done things in the past, you bring this area into our business and lead the way forward. On top of leading your own organization, your capability in creating alliances with other key stakeholders both within and outside of Sandvik Coromant is vital. In addition, you manage total cost of ownership related to IT.
In this position you report directly to the VP Global Operations and travel is a natural part of the job.
Your profile
We are looking for someone with relevant knowledge gained from an academic background or a comprehensive working career and you have experience from leading a function which enables IT delivery to core business. You are also experienced in change management and have a proven track record of optimizing cost and performance. Good knowledge and experience of Sandvik Coromant is considered advantageous and as we are a truly global company, your skills in English must be excellent.

You have excellent communication and motivation skills, a convincing manner and a strong track record from building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
