We're looking for a highly driven Data Analyst within Product development who is passionate about building insights and data driven product development from scratch.
Job description: Head of Data Analysis
The mission of the Data Analyst is to convert data into value and drive a data-first culture across Mynewsdesk. Focus will be to set up a data strategy, build a framework for managing the data; evaluate, merge and interpret internal and external rich data sources, present and communicate the insights/findings. It is about how the insights from the data helps us build an awesome product and continuously validate if we are on the right track. The Data Analyst will be a stakeholder in all projects and processes within product development. The data analyst will study user behaviour, content, markets, strategies, new features and bring data and insights into every decision we make.
The Data analyst will work closely with our Development team, Product management and the management team and will report to the CPO, Chief Product Officer.
Key Responsibilities:
Build a framework for managing the data all through out our product life cycle.
Set the future data strategy for MND and synergies within our group.
Define and manage Big Data related to consumers product usage through connectivity.
Deliver valuable and actionable insights to promote accurate fact based decision making
Create connectivity between our different features in our product
Explore new data sources and establish a best practice for the organization
Recommend changes to existing procedures and strategies
Competencies/Skills Needed:
Education: University degree in Business, Computer Science or equivalent, Mathematics.
3+ years experience in data management and analytics.
Excellent project management & leadership skills & structured approach
Proficient with statistical analysis tools
Experience working end-to-end with solutions from forming ideas to preparing data for analysis to insight and business outcomes
You strive towards continuous learning and improvements.
Have the ability to explain complex topics in simple terms.
Fluent English (oral & written)
