Global expansion controller:

The Global Expansion department is responsible for all current and future stores in the H&M Group world-wide (4800+ Stores). The Department goal is to offer the best possible store when it comes to lease terms (Location, Size, Contract Length, Rent, Payback, Flexibility etc.) enabling the best possible customer offer. The Expansion team is also responsible for all aspects of creating our H&M stores, i.e. to lease, design, draw, buy, and build each store.

We are now looking to further strengthen this function by adding a top performing Expansion controller with excellent analytical skills supporting the Expansion department.

The department manages several hundred store projects every year, accounting for a big part of the H&M Group's investments. It is a multi-brand department, i.e. covering all brands in the H&M Group (H&M, COS, & Other Stories, Monki, Weekday, Cheap Monday, ARKET, Afound and H&M Home).

About the Position:
The focus areas for the Global Expansion Controller are:
• Evaluate, analyze, and drive improvement activities within cross functional projects & countries connected to store financials and leases
• Suggest and drive analytical insights based on financial information, trend analysis and other available data to suggest actions for our store portfolio
• Visualize and update key KPIs in an easy explored way for team users' needs and expansion staff all over the world
• Follow up trends and forecast financials on existing and future portfolio
• Identify, administrate, and improve our technical tools strengthening the material for decision making
• Develop and maintain key global data sources and enable reporting via Business Intelligence tools such as Power Bi & Microsoft Excel

You will play a key role in financial and operational follow-up, identifying improvement opportunities, suggest next steps, and execute improvement actions. The topics will range from specific - e.g. compiling data, analysis cubes, analyzing country performance, preparing status presentations - to holistic - e.g. solving complex multi-dimensional problems and managing cross-department system improvements.

Who are you?
You probably already work in an environment where you on daily basis find joy in financial analysis. You are hands on in handling multiple projects and stakeholders' cross functions and have experience in building models leading to presentations of your recommendations. You enjoy learning new tools and embrace the latest features in the Office suite at your disposal to achieve your results.

You will work in a highly international and demanding environment, and have daily contacts with central functions and our country teams. This role is the ideal introduction to H&M globally at the heart of Global Expansion before taking on future challenges in the company.

To succeed in this position, you already have:
• A degree master or bachelor degree in business and/or engineering, fluency in English, and 3-5 years of work experience following your graduation
• Very strong analytical skills, advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel and experience with financial modelling
• Excellent Excel knowledge and preferably also familiar with Power BI, DAX formula language and M query language
• A clear way of communicating findings in a simple, straightforward way and you are skilled in Microsoft PowerPoint
• The capacity to link details to the holistic picture and preferably experience from process analysis/mapping
• Great people skills, a drive to take own initiatives and the ambition to make a change
