As manager for the rig workshop you will be a part of Complete Vehicle. Our engaged teams have a holistic view of the entire truck and bring hands-on truck experience.
We are close to end customers, understanding their needs and behaviors. Complete Vehicle contributes to deliver Products & Services to all Volvo Group brand customers.
As group manager, you are responsible for project deliveries, budget, work environment and development of the team, including processes, tools as well as its team members. To support this, you are also expected to run continuous improvement program and continue the journey to implement new technology and work methods into the workshop.
In this position you will be part of the Workshop, Trucks and Rigs management team and report to Workshop, Trucks and Rig Section manager. You will work in close cooperation with rig operators, test engineers, feature validation engineers and leaders within our organization and you will have interfaces to engineering within the construction and design departments.
Main purpose for the Rig Workshop is to support the Durability & Reliability, VFL, noise and brake rigs with mechanical resources to run, build, maintain and disassemble rigs and other test objects. In some rigs are the support pure assembly/ disassembly while other rigs require support with manufacturing of parts in the machine workshop. The group tests everything from brackets to complete trucks. The workshop team currently consists of 14 skilled employees.
