Introduction
In this role, you will lead a team of skilled Electrical (Power distribution hardware) engineers and be part of the management team for the Electrical & Electronics and Vehicle Connectivity (EEVC) department, Volvo trucks GTT, Sweden. Power distribution systems are a crucial part of this journey, responsible for providing power to and integrating exciting technology solutions on industry leading FM/FH/FMX products. This team is responsible for the development of power components such as Truck batteries, Alternators, Fuse boxes, Relays, DC DC converters and inverters.
Over the last decade, there have been tremendous demands on adding new systems geared towards advancing truck active safety, connectivity, lowering emissions, automation making the Power distribution area a dynamic and exciting one within vehicle engineering.

How you will make an impact
You are responsible for inspiring, supporting and leading an engineering team of 15 highly skilled engineers with diverse personalities and background. You will be on top of defining how to achieve the best and continuously improving work situation for them. You are also on a mission to find new members complementing your existing strengths in competence and character since you are responsible for a very expansive technical area. You will coach team members in their daily activities and also make training plans, be part of talent mapping and collaborate with other parts of the organization at multiple locations around the world.

As this job is all about collaboration, we believe you are a good listener and communicator and that it is easy for you to connect with other people.
Knowledge and expertise in Electrical component development and experience in developing Power management solutions (automotive Power Electronics), Technical regulations, managing suppliers is beneficial. We believe that a good candidate for this role will have a minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience in the automotive industry.
