The role will belong to a team of 2:nd line expertise and support the local companies in their delivery towards our external customers. The global technicians shall mainly support where the demand on technical capability is high but when possible, also support with capacity.
You will meet both internal and external customers in different parts of the world and the challenges will be different from case to case. The customer need must be understood, analysed and a solution and/or a recommendation needs to be presented. You will work closely with local representatives to ensure the customer satisfaction when working with IPCO.
Content of work:
• Repairs and inspections of products and equipment at customer site or own premises. Report and document results after above actions per global way of working.
• Readiness to conduct/support trainings internally on belt service skills, methods and tools, IPCO equipment and components
• Readiness to conduct/support customer trainings
• Drive implementation and adherence to global ways of working.
• Maintain tools and equipment for service work
• Support the customer's product/equipment /processes by suggesting possible improvements and/or maintenance activities.
• When needed, lead a service intervention containing both IPCO and third-party resources.
• Ability to produce positive results in sales-client interventions.
• On a daily base share own knowledge to enable colleagues to expand their knowledge
• If needed, support activities such as fairs, internal work shops etc.
Required qualifications
• Welding using TIG
• Basic mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic understanding
• Self-motivated with a drive to get things done
• Willingness to continuously learn
• Basic skills in Microsoft office (word, excel, power point)
• Ability to communicate in English
Education / Experience
• Welding experience TIG
• Basic mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic understanding
• Basic material understanding

The position requires travels to our subsidiaries and end customers globally.
Location is preferably at the IPCO headquarter in Sandviken, depending on the candidate another location might be considered.
