Who you are
The Corporate Social Responsibility department at Alfa Laval works with sustainability aspects from a central perspective and reports to the company CEO. The Global Environment, Health & Safety Manger position will be reporting to the Head of CSR.
About the jobWe are looking for a Global Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to be located in Lund (or Söborg, Denmark) to drive the development in taking Environment, Health & Safety to the next level. This requires both leadership and cooperation skills as well as a strong drive to implement change within the company.
The main tasks are: Monitor, evaluate and review EHS strategy, policy and practice, make recommendations and guide implementation of new policies and procedures as required.
Further to support managers to maintain environmental and health & safety systems, providing specialist advice and coaching.. Ensure managers and employees are trained as appropriate.To advise the management team on the implications of current and emerging environmental, health, safety and welfare legislation, including evaluating options, making recommendations and generating action plans to ensure compliance across the organization.
Who are you?You are a change leader with excellent communication skills and with at least 5 years' experience of EHS (or similar) in industry with a relevant academic degree.
You should have experience from working as a leader in industrial environments. Knowledge about current environmental, health and safety legislation, health management is an advantage.
Travelling is a natural part of this position and the work includes many international contacts. You should be able to use English as a working language, spoken and written, fluently. Skills in further languages, e.g. Chinese, Italian, German or French, is an advantage.
As a person you should be business oriented and a natural leader, well-organized with good coordination and multi-tasking skills. You should have a natural capacity to influence and build strong networks in a cross-cultural environment.
