Essential Responsibilities:
• Develop business cases, drive cost reduction projects, drive system and process improvements as well as supporting on strategic projects set to improve the way we work in Procurement and beyond
• Ensure that RFI/RFPs are conducted according to best practices, using Ariba e-sourcing tool
• Support and drive supplier negotiations to improve supply chain performance and mitigate risks (Assurance of supply, Quality, Service, Cost, Innovation and Environment)
• Support the full procurement process by analysing facts and figures, preparing and execute supplier negotiations and make sure savings targets and other KPIs are met
• Strong ability to analyze, interpret and use facts and figures in an effective manner
• Ability to identify an opportunity for negotiation by comparing supplier quotes or looking at historical prices
• Able to independently carry out smaller negotiations by phone, e-mail or face to face
Qualifications/Requirements:
• Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Business (or equivalent degree), with strong academic records
• Fluency in English
• Working experience in a commercial profession, ideally in Operations, is beneficial
