Do you want to join the journey of realizing the vision with your passion for safety-relevant systems and technologies? If yes, let us give you an introduction of our journey!

Connected, electric, highly-automated and autonomous vehicles are making their way into our lives, and it's happening fast! Nevertheless, this paradigm shift in the automotive industry introduces new security and safety challenges that used to be more associated with "IT Security" and "Aviation Safety", respectively. This is where the Cybersecurity and Functional Safety Group comes into the picture not only to strengthen prevailing safety expertise and culture but also to address contemporary security and safety risks of electrical and/or electronic systems of vehicles and transport solutions.

About the position
We are aiming for strengthening our functional safety team with your personal touch in defining our future direction. This position relies on your potential and passion for safety and functional safety to be able to support us in realizing "Zero Accident Vision" and "Vision Zero".

You will be part of a dedicated team in the area of functional safety. You have opportunities not only to apply your current skills but also to acquire new skills to ensure that our products meet functional safety requirements. Our functional safety specialists and experts will guide you in understanding and performing activities such as hazard analysis, risk assessment, functional safety concepts and technical safety concepts. You have possibilities of participating in research, technology development and advance engineering activities to define our future electrical and software architecture.

This position offers numerous possibilities of interacting with people, experts and engineers across different organizations within Volvo Group and external entities.
