The department Electric Propulsion System Engineering is responsible for development of all major parts of hybrid and electric vehicle systems at Volvo Car Group. Sub-systems as Electric Drives, HV Batteries, Power supplies, Chargers etc. are some of our responsibilities. The group is responsible for all HW, SW and System development of the charging and power conversion areas, both with in-house software development and supplier developed software.
As Functional Developer you will work with the Function Owner to test and develop a function from requirements to a complete customer functionality.
Main responsibilities
• Function design by requirement engineering
• Develop and write Design Verification Methods (DVMs)
• Test according to the DWMs in the vehicle
• Report status and progress to the Function owner, System Project Leader (SPL) and to the group manager
• Occasional travels to suppliers
Required qualifications
• B. Sc. degree within engineering or equivalent work life experience
• A couple of years relevant job experience
• Good English skills, written and spoken
• Driving license, B
• Experience in the automotive industry is meritorious
• Experience as tester is meritorious

• Structured, data driven and good documentation skills
• Integrity, courage and personal energy
• Cooperative with good communication skills
• Business oriented and flexible
• Likes challenges and is focused on reaching the target line
• Motivated by finding and create new solutions and possibilities
