Hasselblad R&D is a joint department which consists of teams based on specific technical fields: hardware, software, image quality, optics, mechanics and QA/test. Each team not only runs its daily operations independently, but also collaborates with the other teams as well as different sites and partners around the globe. We are now looking for driven and innovative firmware engineer to join our R&D hardware team located at Hasselblad headquarters in Gothenburg, Sweden.
Tasks and responsibilities:
As a Firmware Engineer, you will be working on the embedded development of software based on SoC (System on Chip). This involves expertise in Linux kernel driver development, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance of the embedded systems.
Your responsibilities will extend to lens zoom and focus motor drive development, playing a crucial role in enhancing the functionality and precision of camera systems. This includes the implementation of features that contribute to efficient motor control for zooming and focusing mechanisms. Furthermore, your role will encompass the development of Camera Systems or 3A (Auto Exposure, Auto Focus, Auto White Balance) subsystems. This involves a comprehensive understanding of image processing and the ability to contribute to the creation of advanced camera functionalities.
• Ensure seamless integration and optimize performance of embedded systems
• Work on camera features and user interface using C++, embedded Linux and Qt/QML
Education, Experience and Personal characteristics:
• M.Sc. in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar
• Proficient in C++
• Demonstrated experience in developing embedded products
• Familiar with the basic principles of hardware
• Fluent in English both written and spoken
