About the role:
We are hiring a Field Data Scientist to work with the Peltarion field teams (Sales & Services). This person must be passionate about driving out solutions to real business problems using data and cutting edge machine learning and yet be able to bridge this deep technical area to the business decision makers in our clients and partners.
Come on-board and help drive clear commercial outcomes for our customers using AI. You will get the opportunity to represent a cutting edge AI platform and a highly specialized tech-team, aiming to be a major player in the forthcoming AI revolution.
You will support the commercial engagement by providing deep technical expertise in machine learning, through active participation in workshops, events and meetups and delivering customer PoCs using the Peltarion AI platform and the latest research tools.
We would also expect you to devote time to share and contribute to the state of the art AI research with the Peltarion machine learning team and communicate findings both written and oral with research articles, blog articles, and talks at conferences.
Your colleagues in the commercial team are spread across Europe, with the majority situated in London. Our head office is located in Stockholm, Sweden.
Requirements:
An educational and professional background in data analytics, machine learning, artificial intelligence, or a related scientific discipline is highly desired. We look for the following skills:
• University degree (PhD is a merit)
• Theoretical understanding of as well as hands-on experience with modern machine learning techniques
• Proven skills working with data and machine learning solving real-life practical problems using Python, R, Matlab or similar languages and tools.
• Think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Proven experience of customer facing and public facing activities (customer workshops, , speaking at conferences, events & meetups)
• Ability to travel, with customer and colleagues across Europe there is the potential to spend up to 30-50% of the time travelling and working abroad
The ideal candidate should have great autonomy to conduct original research and choose appropriate methodologies to solve advanced problems.
