External Supply and Manufacturing (ESM) supports the Operations strategy by establishing and handling suppliers across the world that meet our global standards. Through external suppliers, the team manages approximately one third of AstraZeneca 's value of production. ESM plays a key role in ensuring the external supply chains are robust and deliver value to AstraZeneca through driving continuous improvement. The team also supports New Product Introduction through external supply, plays a pivotal role in integrating companies and products that AstraZeneca acquires and bringing innovation through supply chain programmes e.g. Market Access.

What you 'll do
As External Operations Coordinator, you will be responsible for supporting External Operations (EO) using business processes, data management & reporting tools to track performance management of the external supplier nodes within the ESM network. You will support projects, continuous improvement activities and be accountable for maintaining internal systems & processes that support AZ 's policies with 3rd parties. You will also act as change request support, be a change request owner and facilitate changes and related actions as relevant.

EO Supplier Performance Management & Reporting
• Generate ad-hoc reports to support Internal data requests, including trending.
• Provide analysis of supplier data and reports, identifying patterns and trends, to inform decision making.
• Create, maintain, and distribute weekly, monthly and other periodic reports using supplier data for internal and external parties.
• Collaborate with lean and data analytics teams to automate and refine reports for existing and new suppliers; adjust reporting as required by stakeholder needs.
• Support development, aggregation and monitoring of supplier key performance indicators and identify areas for performance and process improvements.
• Accountable for maintaining EO data management in SharePoint and MS Teams in line with 5s
• Responsible for maintaining Head of EO scorecard and functional KPIs monitoring.
• Drive improvement projects.
• Support the preparation of written project proposals, analytical reports, and presentations.
• Gathering supplier data e.g conflict minerals, Safety Data Sheets and ERP packaging data.
• Manage suppliers on interim basis across EOTs when experience is sufficient to gain insight and experience of the Supplier Management process and driving transactional relationship and performance.

EO Supplier Relationship
• Coordination and support for operational and strategic meetings, internal and external.
• Deputise for EO Managers/Leads in appropriate situations with sufficient notice.
• Adherence with 3rd party management policy
• Complete compliance requirements by data gathering and documentations (very high volume and critical to AZ ethical reputation) .
• Support to 3PRM owners (EOM/EOLs) for supplier base with expert knowledge on how to facilitate risk reviews on suppliers and trigger new risk assessments for onboarding.
• PSCI CAPA data tracking, visualization and follow up on compliance.
• Responsible for sustainability partner guide and framework, generating consistent material for sharing with suppliers, gathering supplier data for Ecovadis, Ecodesk and facilitate supplier information and discussions (in collaboration with Sustainability Lead) to support progress according to plan.
Financial Support & Coordination
• Raising Business Cases, getting internal approval for one off spend & raising Service Purchasing Orders (POs) through Buyer Team.
• Supporting invoice resolution for suppliers and monitoring payment performance to ESM CMOs.
• Inputting contractual prices for the RBU and business planning processes.
Business Process Management
• Ensuring consistent Business Processes are used across EO as well as supporting the execution of Value Stream Mapping activities.
• Typically act as a Sub Process Owner for EO processes, linking in with process network and progressing process improvements and activities as relevant.

Essential for the role
• 3-4-year Bachelor 's degree required in engineering, pharmacy, chemistry or related science, or business-related field.
• You 're a teammate with strong collaboration and good communication skills, able to work towards a common goal.
• Experience of stakeholder management to achieve jointly agreed objectives.
• Analytical thinking and ability to manage several tasks in parallel against short deadlines.
• Strong data management and reporting capability, good knowledge and experience using IT systems.
• Organizational skills, understanding of quality principles and GMP requirements.
• Experience of using Lean tools to solve problems.

• ESM awareness and knowledge of systems used by the function, eg SAP, Ecovardis, Veeva platform etc.

About the position
The position as a service engineer is a consulting assignment, which means that you are employed by us at Adecco but hired out to the customer.
