The opportunity
We are seeking experienced Sustainability Consultants to join our Climate Change and Sustainability Services team in Stockholm. We are looking for motivated sustainability professionals, with experience providing technical advice regarding ESG strategy, risk assessment, reporting, auditing and / or program execution.
The EY Climate Change and Sustainability Services team has recently been recognized by Verdantix as the global leader in Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) consulting. Our Swedish team comprises a multidisciplinary team of more than 25 passionate professionals providing support and advice to clients across all market sectors. We work across the full spectrum of sustainability issues, including strategy, outcomes measurement, climate risk and decarbonization, human rights, diversity and inclusion, ESG due diligence and supply chain management, through advisory and assurance engagements. We have a strong focus on the technical development of our teams and developing the next generation of sustainability professionals.

Your key responsibilities
Work as part of a multidisciplinary team across a range of industries, assisting organizations on how they manage and report on a broad range of sustainability related risks and impacts
Contribute to strategy, solutions, methodologies, analytical frameworks and tools to help clients succeed and navigate complex regulatory environments and manage stakeholder expectations
Assist clients to develop and implement sustainability strategies, develop targets, and implement plans to enhance sustainability value for a broad range of sustainability topics, including environmental, diversity and inclusion, circularity and/or human rights impacts
Contribute to the sales and marking of services, as well as internal and external networking
Assurance of sustainability reporting, including sustainability metrics and emissions reporting across a range of industry sectors

Skills and attributes for success
To qualify for the role you must have:
University degree such as in engineering, environmental or social sciences, law, economics or accounting or equivalent educational background
Experience in sustainability and/or climate change services (either in professional services, industry or government)
Agility to learn and adapt on the job, ask the right questions and strive for the best solutions for clients
Demonstrable experience in and passion for one or more of our sustainability areas
Ability to think laterally and adapt previous experience and solutions to new projects
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic team and environment
Strong analytical, and project and time management skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills

Ideally, you'll also have:
Professional services/consulting experience
Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations and codes of practice as well as a good understanding of the issues within the sustainability field, such as coming EU regulations, taxonomy, Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Standards, Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB), amongst others
Knowledge of, and experience in preparing sustainability reports and strategies, such as undertaking materiality assessments, peer benchmarking, stakeholder engagement activities and preparation of internal and external reporting
