hela Sverige Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.
In this position you will be accountable for the strategies and targets within one of Scania purchasing's most interesting segments with high turnover and great cost improvement opportunities. The segment is involved in a high number of new projects, both green and red (PCOP), and considered a technology with big future potentials for Scania. The segment is also considered a focus topic in high priority areas such as sustainability. This is a great opportunity for the right person to further develop their knowledge and skills.
You will have a lead role in one of purchasings largest and most experienced 3-rings with a team of quality managers and project purchasers where you will support and align activities to ensure that the strategies are implemented.
You will be working closely together with many counterparts at R&D and the different PRUs, where your ability to cooperate with others will be important to reach common goals. You will also get the opportunity to work together with colleagues at MAN located in both Munich and Nürnberg.
In your daily work you will also negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers, coordinate and align activities closely with other purchasing colleagues in the TRATON and Volkswagen group, perform strategic nominations of new business together with your project purchasing colleagues as well as working to align and improve processes.
Your profile
You are a person who likes to take the lead in working with others and is interested in developing your leadership skills further. You are probably proactive, structured, organized, flexible, take own initiatives, are able to handle multiple open cases, have a strong commercial but also technical interest and like to work with supplier relationship management and succeed in negotiations. You have at least 3 years of purchasing experience, are ready to take on a more senior role with strategic mindset and share your knowledge with others.
As the role involves a large international network and travelling, you are fluent in writing and speaking English. Other language skills are an advantage.
You like to work with cross functions and represent Purchasing in a way where we are a respected partner which delivers as promised and according to targets in a professional way. Would you find it interesting to work on management presentations where your recommendations made clear and you have the possibility to provide essential information to make the right decisions for strategical key areas.
Your work includes a lot of interactions at different levels, both internally and cross-functionally, it is important that you have the ability to collaborate and build trust and are clear in your communication with others. You should have high integrity with a good judgment and can adapt to work according to Scania's company culture.
