hela Sverige The Engineering & Fleet Manager has responsibilities within business planning and bidding activities for the Scandinavian market. You report for line management purposes to the Director Scandinavia and for project purposes to the relevant Bid Director. You have an in-depth understanding of rolling stock, maintenance philosophies, workshop planning and management. You also have a good understanding of the supply chain for rolling stock and spare parts in the Scandinavian market. You have experience of important commercial business issues, particularly relating to bidding situations and procurement of rolling stock. You will be responsible for preparing engineering and rolling stock plans for identified business opportunities following the EFQM/RADAR approach. You have a solid experience from and knowledge of engineering domains within a transportation or service company, coupled with an appropriate educational background. Experience with large complex commercial business issues, bids or acquisitions
Preferable knowledge from engineering domains within a transport company (rail operator, airline operation and/or bus company), supplier of transport assets (rolling stock provider) and/or maintenance company
Experience of presenting the approach to risk at solution design, steering group, â'black hat' and corporate governance reviews
A well organised and devoted approach to her/his work as well as a focus on details
Good communication skills
Ability to write reports and plans, analyse and present risks.
Knowledge of quality and project management methodologies, preferable EFQM and RADAR, Familiarity with PRINCE2 (Foundation level)
Flexible and able to work to tight deadlines with capability to recover after setbacks and changes to plan
About the candidates:
Are likely to have a university degree in engineering supplemented with economical studies or appropriate experience
Minimum of 5 to 10 years experience in technical department with a strong drive to improve efficiency, in a commercial and competitive environment
Project management skills and confident with working towards tight deadlines
Communicate with confidence in Swedish and the ability to communicate in the other Scandinavian languages and English
About the work environment:
The candidate can choose to have the â'home office' in Copenhagen or Stockholm and must be ready to travel frequently between the â'home office', project locations in Scandinavia and the group offices of Abellio
