Wholly owned by Perstorp, and world leaders in formaldehyde technology, we supply know-how, plants, catalysts and technical support. In order to meet an increased sales volume and an increasing number of plant projects we now seek to employ a new manager for our engineering department.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the engineering department that performs the detail engineering (mechanical, electrical and instrument/automation) of our projects in constructing formaldehyde plants around the world and in our own catalyst production plant. The department currently consists of ten individuals and a number of consultants. The position is based in Perstorp, but trips abroad will be a natural part of the job. You will report directly to the Chief of Projects.
The job description includes responsibility for the department concerning:
• Detailed engineering (mechanical, electrical and instrument/automation)
• Purchasing (electrical and instruments)
• Commissioning (electrical and instruments)
• Leadership that inspires employees to develop
• Budget for the department and for the department's involvement in projects
• Resource planning
The successful candidate must be a graduate engineer with a number of years' experience of project work in process plants, have a major technical interest and the ability to lead a group towards set targets. You should also be service-minded with a major interest in working to solve problems. In addition to managing the engineering department the successful candidate is expected to participate within one of the department's engineering disciplines. You are also expected to be fluent in English.
