Foundational Products & Chapters is part of Technology, a new function within Volvo Group Digital & IT with a big stake in the Group's digital transformation. Technology will modernize Volvo's core digital backbone making it a platform for digital products. Foundational Products & Chapters are responsible for API & Integration, DevSecOps, Cloud and Development Platforms. Our Foundational IT products are used by digital product teams and enable them and their products to outperform Volvo's competitors. Our digital talents develop capabilities and digital technologies to improve business performance and create value for the Volvo Group with speed and at scale.
This is how you can make an impact
As the leader of MQ & Event Streaming you will be a key enabler to the Volvo Group Digitalization Transformation by developing and leading a global team of high performing digital talents focused on Messaging platforms. You will drive engagement and enablement through close alignment with teams and key stakeholders and act as an ambassador for MQ & Event Streaming in Volvo Group.
You will be responsible for the overall performance of the teams in close cooperation with the Product owner and our partners and vendors and will secure the needed investments to drive the modernization and transformation of the MQ and Event Streaming, aligned with our vision.
In collaboration with Chapters, you will secure the right competences and capacity within the product team/area and maintain close relationships with partners and vendors to enable value creation at scale whilst supporting the development of a learning organization.
In summary we are looking for you who has:
Solid background as a leader within the area of Integrations
Hands-on experience from working with solutions or systems similar to Azure Event Hubs, Qlik replicate, Solace PubSub+
Experience from a global organization
Stakeholder management
Who are you?
We are looking for you who is a natural leader that displays energy and passion for modern Integration and establishment of dynamic infrastructure layer for distributing events among decoupled applications. You ideally have solid experience from leading people in the Integration (Messaging and/or Event Streaming) domain. Today you probably have a role as Engineering Manager or similar. Adding to this you have the technical knowledge to describe and define the possibilities and benefits of event driven architecture. Lastly, you have a university degree in a relevant field as a backbone to your knowledge.
You always put the consumer in focus and are curious to understand the needs of the business to be able to provide the best fit for each business area. You always have an ear with your stakeholders and believe in the power of collaboration. Working in a global context is something that comes naturally to you.
