Our Engineering department is creating a strong foundation of skills for new technologies and innovations. We have a committed passion to create and deliver iconic and desirable global products suitable for volume production.
We are now looking for an Engineer Simulation (Active Safety)!
You will be part of the Software & Controls organization within Powertrain/Chassis. The organization is responsible for requirement setting, design/implementation and testing for Software intense systems in the Powertrain/Chassis domain.
The amount of Software and electronics in modern cars continue to increase and the prognosis is that it will increase even more in the future. A vast majority of new functionality in vehicles includes Software & Controls. An Engineer Simulation (Active Safety) is involved in all phases of a car project.
The role involves:
• Maintain and develop simulation strategy.
• Support the development of vehicle level requirements with simulations.
• Support the development of system and component level requirements with simulations.
• Compare/verify design proposals with simulation results.
• Participating in analysis of designs such as FMEA, FTA etc.
• Maintain and develop simulation environment.
You will support the lead engineer in the simulation efforts required in all stages of a car project. In the early phases of the project the support is primary aiming for requirement setting. As the project proceed the simulations shall provide more and more qualitative results that are used as checkpoints for the project.
We are looking for someone who has:
• University engineering education or equivalent experience
• Engineering work experience within relevant area
• Domain knowledge Automotive.
• Domain knowledge Vehicle Dynamics and Crash Avoidance.
• Domain knowledge Simulation.
• Experience from software intense systems in the automotive industry.
• Experience from development of embedded systems with high real time requirements.
• Experience from systems with functional safety requirements and related standards, ISO-26262.
• Fluent in English both spoken and written
• Driver license B
