Volvo Construction Equipment, a business area within the Volvo Group, is one of the world's leading manufacturers of construction equipment such as wheel loaders, excavators, articulated haulers, road development equipment and compact equipment. Production facilities are located in Europe, Asia, North America and Latin America.
The engine development department is the core centre within Volvo CE for engines and auxiliary systems. The main work areas are mechanical engine design, performance/application development and mechanical auxiliary system design. Today we develop engine systems for wheel loaders, articulated haulers, excavators and road machinery.
We are now recruiting an engine design responsible for the heavy engine platform. As responsible for mechanical design you will work with engine adaptation to achieve optimal engine performance for the Volvo CE products. The development work is done in close co-operation with Volvo Powertrain.
You will work in project form and will be responsible for development of mechanical design, quality and verification specifications Volvo CE parts. Genuine quality consciousness is a key competence in our work.
Qualifications:
• M.Sc or B.Sc
• Experienced in mechanical design work
• Fluent in English
• High ability to plan and structure your work
• Very high ability to take initiatives
• Interest in engines is seen as a merit
• Result oriented
