The department Electric Propulsion System Engineering is responsible for development of all major parts of hybrid and electric vehicle systems at Volvo Car Group. Sub-systems as Electric Drives, HV Batteries, Power supplies, Chargers etc. are some of our responsibilities.
We are now looking for a Diagnostic Design Engineer to our group Electric Drive SW development. The group is responsible for all SW development within the Electric Drives system, both in-house software development and supplier developed software. You will have the possibility to grow and develop within an area that offer a very exciting future and you will have long term development opportunities in a continuously growing field, where you have a direct influence on customer satisfaction.
Main responsibilities
• Design, review and secure diagnostic SW implementation in running vehicle projects
• Support SW/system design team with diagnostic input in requirement engineering
• Analyze the electric drive system with respect to robustness and dependability
• Statistical analysis of DTCs from field reports and service data
• Statistical analysis monitor robustness data for Alpha/beta risks
• Report status and progress to KU leader and to group manager
Required qualifications
• University degree within controls and SW engineering or equivalent competence
• Relevant job experience relative to development of automotive SW and model based controls system
• Competence within UDS, OBD-legislation, ISO26262
• Driver license B
• Good English skills, both verbal and written
