Volvo Financial Services Region EMEA is hiring a Director Strategic Planning based in Göteborg, Sweden to be part of the Strategy and Business Development department in VFS EMEA Regional HQ reporting to Vice President Strategy and Business Development.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB
This position is responsible for the strategic planning process of VFS Region EMEA and coordinates the development and maintenance of a 3 year rolling strategic plan for VFS EMEA.
The position holder provides the VFS EMEA EMT with all relevant data, trends and information required to set the strategic direction. This will require intense dialogue with contributors, key stakeholders and ultimate beneficiaries for this process. It implies also the responsibility for the management of the strategic integration with other Volvo Group BA 's and entities to ensure close alignment and long term success. The Director Strategic Planning will set up the annual strategic planning process and will coordinate all respective activities to ensure the establishment of a solid strategic plan.

The individual will be required to work closely with the VFS EMEA regions, the VFS Global HQ and Volvo Group Business Area 's to identify and utilize business opportunities and potential new business models that promote and enhance Volvo Group enterprise value.

Upon development and definition of the strategic plan, the position holder is responsible to govern the execution of the plan and the respective communication, follow up etc.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and implement a strategic planning and follow up process.
• Support the EMEA EMT to formulate, develop and drive the Strategic agenda for VFS EMEA
• Safeguard that the EMEA strategy is aligned with the Volvo strategy and VFS global strategy
• Formulate feasible recommendations to EMEA EMT on how to optimize near-term growth. Including:
• Assessing the company's environment and resources, identifying priorities and objectives, and selecting valuable strategies
• In cooperation with VFS EMEA Finance, develop business plans that support and introduce solutions for strategic issues that impact the company
• Conduct organizational reviews to identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities
• Allocation of resources to pursue the strategy
• Support the VFS EMEA regions to break down the VFS EMEA strategy to tangible projects and activities
• Provide support to identify and asses' strategic issues, facilitate strategic discussion, and manage strategic initiatives
• Follow up and report on decided strategic projects and activities

EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
• Bachelor degree in Finance from a recognized institution. Higher education is a plus
• A minimum of 7 years' experience, best relating to the financial services industry, preferably but not necessarily within strategic planning; additional experience working within project management, consulting and business development
• Innovation mindset
• Ability to comprehend the impact of innovation in the transport and construction industry for a captive finance company
• Experience from working in an international and multi-cultural environment is a plus
• Proven ability to analyze processes, structures, markets and technical areas, to solve problems and to identify improvements and having the ability to synthesize findings
• Excellent organizational, prioritization and communication skills
• Ability to work on own initiative, often as part of cross-functional teams
• Strong personal credibility, integrity and can-do mindset with high drive and energy and capable of performing multiple duties effectively in a fast paced environment
• Strong business acumen and strive to be a trusted and valued partner in business
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact and influence at all levels both internally and externally
• Team player with ability to influence and involve others
• High standard of professionalism and integrity
• Willingness to travel as the job requires
• Advanced level of English, second language is an advantage
