About the job
In this high-impact role, you're responsible for the development and implementation of the organization's overall sourcing strategy. In close collaboration with the various global functions, you identify the needs and establish thought-out and reliable processes, procedures and systems for sustainable customer-supplier relationships. Together with your international team you find and seize opportunities to reduce purchasing costs by improving the organization's buying patterns and supply channels. You minimize administration by implementing and using a digital platform to follow-up on activities and results. You and your team's high integrity ensures compliance with local legislation and the company's ethical standards.
You sponsor and evaluate large, cross-functional projects and support the team members with your experience and coaching. Through your international team of managers, you lead the global procurement organization and its stakeholders. You inspire and support your team members to perform and develop at the best of their abilities and show continuous improvements in all areas, always with the customer in focus. The zero CO2 emission goal in 2050, that Seco Tools has committed to, will be of crucial importance for the sourcing strategy and activities in the coming decade. You report to the VP Operations, and as a member of the Supply Chain management team, you take responsibility for sustainable organizational health and the achieving of strategic objectives, as well as the supply chain organization.
Your profile
We're looking for a self-driven and enthusiastic professional, with a university degree in Business Administration or equivalent field, and preferably international experience in leading a procurement organization. You have a good understanding of business and manufacturing processes, and the importance of having reliable, cost-efficient suppliers that share our values and ambition levels. You have a holistic view, experience with defining and implementing strategy and empowering people to contribute, collaborate and accelerate. You have shown the ability to lead change and know exactly how to empower your colleagues when a turn-around in mindset and working processes is required.
Being analytical, structured and thorough allows you to keep an overall view and at the same time, spot the details that make the difference. With your high integrity and great communication skills, you're a role model for our values who encourages your team and builds networks and relationships with ease across cultural borders. Acting in a global environment calls for great English skills, verbally and in writing and willingness to regular international travel. Because of the vast impact of the procurement organization on the total business results you need to have a good business acumen, accompanied with a result-oriented mindset and be able to perform as well independently as in an international team.
