We are now looking for a Director Legal to head the legal department in Sweden. You will report to VP Legal Nordics and Corporate, with a dotted line to the Swedish CEO.
The role
As Director Legal Sweden you are responsible for all legal matters in Sweden. The position is highly focused on negotiating agreements with third parties regarding distribution of content and clearance of rights. You work closely together with the business where you are expected not only to provide legal advice but also be a reliable discussion partner where you also from time to time take lead in the discussions. Further, you will also manage the Swedish legal department which currently consist of two head counts. You will play an important part of the Swedish business and as such take part in strategic discussions and decisions on all company related matters.
The place of work is Stockholm.
Who are you?
You have a Swedish law degree, and at least seven years of professional media / IP law and general law experience in an international environment, ideally law firm and/or multi-national company. You have proven experience in giving fast and efficient business-minded legal support as well as in drafting and negotiating agreements. You have excellent negotiation skills and sound business judgment. You have a flexible mindset to changes, you are curious, agile and entrepreneurial, and comfortable in dealing with uncertainty is a must. Excellent knowledge of business English is required.
