Director DRI
This role will appeal to ambitious, hands-on operations professionals with prior DRI experience. You are a proven leader, motivator, and team builder, who wish to apply your collaborative leadership, process management and preventative maintenance strengths in fostering positive cultural change, cost discipline and team-oriented success. An emphasis on driving operational excellence, employee development and continued improvements in health and safety is an important objective of the role.
Reporting to the SVP-DRI, the Director-DRI contributes to the development and implementation of organizational strategies, policies, and practices. You are responsible for the alignment of operational goals with the strategic plan of H2GS, for the direction and coordination of activities to obtain optimum efficiency, economy of operations and maximize profits. The management portfolio held by this leader is notably diverse, with corresponding broad organizational implications and complexity, characterized by substantial scope of responsibility in this respect.
Responsibilities:
Directing and monitoring improvements to operational systems, processes, and policies in support of H2GS's strategic and business objectives.
Working with Technology provider in reviewing the pre-engineering & engineering activities and with consultant & engineering company in reviewing design basis for balance of plant engineering.
Working with the management team and leadership, serving as a resource to help reduce project costs, achieve effective utilization and quality goals and objectives, analyzes, and utilizes information to develop and support management decisions.
Dealing with consultants, technology provider & engineering company working on balance of plant activities for any technical, administrative, or financial issue to reach an amicable solution.
Routine monitoring of Projects progress, coordinating with technology provider and all external agencies involved in project for issues affecting project progress.
Hiring & training manpower for DRI plant operation & maintenance team and local engineers for project/plant related works.
Plays a significant role in long-term planning, with the view to delivering operational excellence. Promotes adherence to operating policies and procedures in accordance with the Company's objectives.
Collaborate with teammates to ethically resolve technical issues with solutions that meet the best interest of all parties involved.
Monitoring KPIs to ensure cost-efficiency; formulating cost controls; long term Maintenance planning, developing preventive maintenance plan & major projects for annual capital budget, 5-year capital expenditure; CapEx projects design & execution.

Requirements:
15 years or more in a Senior/Managerial role in DRI plant Process & Operations
Minimum of 10 years hands-on experience, related to direct reduction plant
Bachelor of Science in Engineering
Demonstrated success in bridging communications with senior management, operations, technical departments, and managerial discretion.
A proven track record of driving best practices, improving productivity and profitability throughout operations. Experience with "Six Sigma", "Lean", or other continuous improvement methods will be a plus.
Must be knowledgeable about the business and the mission-critical technical and functional skills needed to do the job.
