Director Business Control - Powertrain Production Köping Plant
Would you like to be a part of our journey to become the best transmission factory in the world? The production plant in Köping is the transmission center within the Volvo Group Truck Operations, Powertrain Production (PTP). Our site is the "Center of Excellence" within the area of transmission solutions and today we are 1650 employees.

We are now looking for a Director of Business Control for our Transmission Plant in Köping. The Director of Business Control will be a member of the Köping Plant Management team and share responsibility of its deliverables. In this position you will report to the Plant Manager in Köping. You will also lead a team of 7 persons within Business Control.

Main tasks
The role and responsibility of the Director of Business Control at Volvo in Köping is to be an important key player in the plant management team. We expect you to take on the responsibility with great engagement and participate in the development and steering of the organization. You and your team provide timely and accurate business analysis for efficient decision making. The Controller team covers target setting and driving performance improvements through challenging and supporting the functions and departments in reaching their targets. The estimate process, calculating business cases for investments, Continuous Improvements through the Cost Deployment process are also important areas within the Business Control team. Communication and education of financial principles is also a part of the tasks.

As a Business Control Director you will be a part of an exciting journey of decentralization of financial responsibility, which will broaden the business control scope and at the same time make it more developing and interesting. You will have the responsibility of the full profit and loss statement for the plant as well as focusing on cash flow and operating capital. Other main tasks are:

• Lead and develop the group of financial- and business controllers in the plant
• Implement BI solutions for better and faster analysis of financial result
• Interact with the PTP financial community to develop towards a best in class business control environment
• Be a part of benchmark work between the PTP plants to improve the overall performance
• Develop and harmonize the business control processes and performance follow-up

Profile and competence requirements
As a part of your background, you have a university degree within the Finance area and a solid experience from industrial controlling. You have successful experience from networking effectively through a diverse contact base and building enduring relationships across functional and geographical areas.

The position requires strong abilities in leading change, managing interaction with multi-stakeholders and bridging knowledge between local processes and central processes. Communication and ability to transmit information accurately and understandably are therefore core skills.

A strong personal credibility and integrity are key requirements for the position. The work includes distinctive problem-solving abilities. You shall also bring general leadership skills including strong customer focus, business acumen and accountability. As all documentation is in English, proficiency in the English language is required.
