We are happy to announce that we are now hiring a Digitalization Solution Architect to our Global Service Offering Platforms (GSOP) department who has an extensive knowledge in connected devices, Internet of things and IT architecture and who is ready to take some action.

GSOP is a department within Global Product & Marketing, a central function responsible to bring a significant contribution to the performance of Volvo Bus Corporation by:
• Managing the strategy process for Volvo Bus Corporation
• Ensuring the consistency of the regional and functional strategies
• Developing our product strategy (both vehicles and services) by balancing the business requirements
• Creating and delivering efficient business solutions in cooperation with our regions
At GSOP we are responsible for new development, enhancement, operation, maintenance and support of systems and processes for billable service offerings such as Fleet Management and Vehicle Management.
We are a growing small enthusiastic team with high ambitions to contribute to the connected future of Volvo Buses that are looking forward getting you as a new team member.
Main Activities and Responsibilities
In the role as Digitalization Solution Architect you will be responsible for designing solutions for new connected services that will make Volvo Bus a leader in the public transportation ecosystem.
You will be responsible for defining the overall architecture and distribution of the service over vehicle, cloud, mobile and third party service providers and the interaction between all parties. You will be challenged with creating a balance between new technology, already existing solutions, enterprise architecture framework, cost and timing feasibility to meet customer demands.

Qualifications

Your enthusiasm, technical competence, business acumen and excellent presentation skills will drive growth and customer success. You are proficient in both spoken and written English.
Required Knowledge and Experience
• Very good knowledge in English, written and spoken
• Extensive experience from software engineering and agile development
• Extensive experience of modeling: e.g. business modeling, process modeling, data modeling knowledge in Domain Driven Design
• Practical experiences in balancing process and solution perspectives to solve architecture specific concerns
• Ability to take the leading role in setting up tactical plans and drive the execution
• A university degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent
Additional Important Requirements
• Experience from vehicle industry is an advantage but not mandatory
• Other language capabilities are desirable
