Our Great Opportunity
We are looking for a Digital Hardware Designer with deep knowledge of hardware design join our team in Kista. You will be part of our phenomenal Digital Design & Frequency Generation team, reporting into Manager Digital Design & Freq Generation.
The primary role will be to work with our digital hardware radio product development activities at the Ericsson design center in Sweden (Stockholm, Kista) and cooperate with our global sites in China and Canada. The role will also have contact with external chipset suppliers to assure that technology development is in sync with Ericsson's needs.
Your role will include activities such as: circuit design, verification and product documentation as well as interacting with software design, integration, verification, tools design, and product lifecycle management.

You will
Work with radio digital design from architecture to volume production
Support hardware and design, test, and introduce into the factory
Investigate and resolve engineering problems
Manage continuous improvements of design, processes and product quality
Prepare lab environment including both equipment and software components
Implement test and validation methods for efficient design test coverage
Produce documentation as per radio development processes
Perform troubleshooting, including support on debugging field return units
To be successful in the role you must have
A minimum of B.Sc. or equivalent in electrical engineering or physics
Experience in digital hardware design, implementation, and verification
Experience with layout and schematic tool (e.g. Cadence) and are using them today
Experience with board-level power and grounding layout strategies and implementation for multilayer mixed digital/analog/RF designs
Experience with high-speed serial interfaces
Experience using lab equipment's such as logic analyzers, patter generators, oscilloscope, etc.
Good understanding of digital board design
Excellent communication skills
Ability to excel in a fast-paced diverse team environment
You might also have
Previous exposure to radio transceiver digital design and/or test
Previous experience in designing products for volume production
Experience with simulation tools (e.g Mentor, Ansys, SiSoft)
Experience with EMC/timing analysis/constraints
