The section 94240 EDS (Electrical Distribution System) Installation, part of 94200 Electrical Distribution & Body Electronics within Vehicle Software & Electronics, is responsible for the development of solutions for electrical distribution and wiring for all platforms in Volvo Car Group's product range. The engineering work is done in cross functional engineering teams, organised according to the SAFe scaled agile framework.
The team EDS components is responsible for developing components such as electrical distribution boxes and fuses boxes.
As a developer for electronic circuit design within the EDS components team, you will be involved in all tasks performed by the team, as coordinated by the team's Product Owner. Your main focus will be electronic circuit design on PCB level for so-called Smart fuses, also known as Software fuses, for which you will have the technical responsibility over time. You will develop Smart fuse solutions for e.g. distribution boxes developed by the team, including definition of requirements and other pre-requisites needed for the engineering work. You will also follow project deliveries from timing and quality perspectives.
As a developer at EDS you will obtain a broad experience from design and development of components and electronic circuits for automotive applications. Thanks to our agile organisation and product development process, you will work within all Volvo Car Group's vehicle programmes, and thus you will build up a large circle of contacts within our company as well as with international production suppliers.
Required:
- Rechnical education within electrical engineering at university level, orr similar competence achieved through working experience.
- Good knowledge about electronic circuit design on PCB level.
- Fluent in English, written and spoken.
Meritorious:
Experience in processes, systems and tools used for technical documentation and project management within Volvo Car Group.
Personal behaviour:

- Highly driven self-starter.
