Right Livelihood Foundation
Deputy Director
Right Livelihood is a courage-powered community for social change. Established in 1980, we are committed to peace, justice, and sustainability for all. Each year, we present the Right Livelihood Award. By recognising the actions of brave visionaries and building impactful connections around the world, the Award boosts urgent and long-term social change. We also provide these change-makers with long-term support. We work to raise their profile, spread their solutions, provide protection when their lives and liberty are in danger, and link them with academia.
With offices in Stockholm and Geneva, Right Livelihood has 20 staff and an annual budget of EUR 4 million. We have consultative status with the United Nations and active partnerships with universities on all continents.
We have set ourselves an ambitious goal: By 2030, we aim to be recognised globally, not only as a prize-awarding institution, but as an agenda-setter, expert voice and a widely-used source of inspiration and education for social change.
