We are looking for a Datacom Engineer, withexperience in telecommunications,VLAN/IP/MPLS/VPN/BGP network theory and Routers & LAN switches operation.If you are considering the challenge of an Engineer position, this may be the opportunity you've been looking for. Responsibilities:
• Technical Support in the field of Datacom and Access Network in all technical aspects.
• Project implementation, technical supervision and training of subcontracting companies or service partners.
• Prepare, implement and test software upgrades of network elements.
• Provide Level 1/Level 2 technical support service to the customers independently or jointly with a technical support team.
• Track and solve all technical issues customer caring about, provide customer necessary technical support and suggestion, keep good cooperation with customer.
• Provide an emergency support for the network elements .
• Pre-sales support for testing, bidding or holding workshops in the field of Datacom , Access
• Network, such as GPON, MPLS
• Support sales management and customers in establishing, developing and closing business opportunities.
Required qualifications:
• University degree in Computer Science, Telecommunication or relevant.
• At least 1 years technical service experience in telecom field
• Deep understanding of the Metro and Core network design
• Very good knowledge of VLAN/IP/MPLS/VPN/BGP network theory and Routers & LAN switches operation.
• Knowledge of GPON, DSLAM/Xdsl , VoP, SDH , WDM ,UNIX will be treated as an advantage
• Good communication skills and learning capability, ability to cooperate and work with peoples from different cultures in a fast-paced changing environment
• Prefer to have CCNP/CCIE or similar certifications
• Strong troubleshooting competence and Maintenance skills
• Willing to travel
• Fluent in English language
Organization:
This position is based in Sofia, Bulgaria. As DATACOM Network Engineer you will work within the CEE&Nordic regional organization and report to the project manager/Regional Core Network manager. The CEE&Nordic regional organization is managed and controlled from Poland.
