As a natural consequence, the area of Data Privacy is growing and important in product development in GTT.
The GTT Privacy Office is a great team of Data Privacy professionals, and we are now looking for a new DPR (Data Protection Representative). You will be part of setting our strategic data privacy priorities as well as driving and implementing ways of working, to guide and assure relevant data privacy compliance and regulations in the Volvo Group and Volvo Group Trucks Technology organizations.
In this role, you will be reporting to David Haglund - Manager, Data Governance & Data Compliance, and have a dotted line reporting to SVP GTT Legal & General Counsel.
What will you do?
As a Data Protection Representative, you will be the focal point for the data privacy questions in our organization & have responsibility for the ongoing data privacy compliance activities. The overall responsibilities for the role are:-
Implement and maintain the Privacy Governance structure including policies, standards, and templates.
Drive investigations and initiatives as needed to facilitate, promote, and protect Volvo Group data privacy.
Coordinate and conduct Data Privacy audits.
Ensure that GTT is informed regarding data protection rights, obligations, and responsibilities.
Communication and alignment with the GPO (Group Privacy Officer) and other Volvo Group DPRs (data protection representatives).
Increase Data Privacy awareness and competence through the development and conduct of training.
Work together as part of the GTT Data Privacy team setting and achieving team goals.
In this role, you will have a dotted reporting line to the Senior Vice President for GTT Legal and be an active member of the GTT Compliance structure.
Who are we looking for?
You will coordinate, lead, and collaborate with all parts of Volvo Group Trucks Technology as well as the rest of Volvo Group, driving Data Privacy and compliance activities while inspiring others to do the same. This requires you to be service minded and supportive to handle stakeholders, partners, and customers. As this job is all about collaboration and taking lead, we first and foremost need you to be a leader with good communication skills.
We also value your holistic and problem-solving approach, as you will play a key role in the organization to identify and visualize pragmatic but robust solutions to new challenges. As this job includes managing urgent as well as long-term initiatives, we also believe it is important that you can work with a degree of uncertainty and that you demonstrate good prioritization skills. You have the ability to collect data, define problems, establish facts, and draw conclusions.
Relevant Experience:
Extensive experience in Data Privacy, data transfers, vehicle data, and IT systems in a complex global product development organization.
Excellent knowledge of Data Privacy, GDPR regulation, and other regulations affecting data protection and their practical applications.
Experience in information security principles and practices, information risk analysis, and risk management.
Experience in developing and delivering training.
Practical experience in OneTrust or equivalent Data Privacy tools.
Fluency in English, written and spoken.
