The role as Data Center Project Manager
Our IT Project Managers lead projects of various natures and sizes through the whole of the Vattenfall Group. , from supporting new apps for R&D to improving the CRM systems, from business specific applications to data center set up and migration. With the support of the Project Management Office team, our IT Project and Program Managers lead multidisciplinary and international teams and contribute directly to Vattenfall strategy.
Main responsibilities as Data Center Project Manager
Manage IT projects/programs from business and IT requirements, through development, to GoLive's and handover to maintenance
Understand the specifics of data center set up and migration (architecture, network, security)
Be a constructive interface between the business units and Vattenfall IT coordinating interactions between different stakeholders (IT architects, Solution Designer, other IT departments, external providers, etc).
Support and master the Vattenfall IT tools and ways of working and ensure adherence to Vattenfall standards and instructions
Manage international teams of project resources, actively bridging cultural differences
Your qualifications:
A relevant bachelor or master's degree in IT or equivalent experience
At least 5 years of experience as IT Project Manager
Experience in IT infrastructure projects, preferably data center setup and migration
A relevant certification (IPMA, Prince2, PMP etc.) and experience with Project Management Methodologies (PROPS etc.).
Experience in leading international teams either as manager or PM. Strong leadership skills is a necessity, as well as running complex projects with many stakeholders
Advanced English both written and oral. Swedish knowledge is not mandatory but considered a plus
Experience of application and database architecture, preferably in the role as Architect is considered a merit
Understanding and experience of high security demands such as the Protective security legislation is considered a merit

Since you will navigate throughout the whole organization and have stakeholders on different levels we believe that you have outstanding communication skills and a problem-solving mindset. You feel comfortable in sharing your expertise and ideas, as well as being challenged in them and are not afraid of taking tough decisions. You are quick to understand new business processes, requirements and technologies but also have an understanding for the security legislations that needs to be taken in to consideration.
Location: Flexible to one of our offices in Sweden, preferably Solna. Some international travel is required.
