Position Summary
Are you passionate about asking and answering questions in large datasets, and able to communicate that passion to product managers and engineers?
We are looking for a Data Analyst that will help us discover the information hidden in vast amounts of data, and help us make smarter decisions to deliver even better products. Your primary focus will be in applying data mining techniques, doing statistical analysis, and building high quality prediction systems integrated with our radio products.
You will become a dynamic player regarding our radio products datasets. You will provide insight into leading analytic practices, design and lead iterative learning and development cycles, and ultimately produce new and creative analytic solutions that will become part of our core deliverables. You will work within a cross-functional team where members are top of the class engineers in the radio domain.
Responsibilities & Tasks
Participate to Radio Product design projects from concept through production
Selecting features, building and optimizing classifiers using machine learning techniques and statistical methods
Data mining using state-of-the-art methods
Enhancing data collection procedures to include information that is relevant for building analytic systems
Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis
Doing ad-hoc analysis and presenting results in a clear manner
Creating automated anomaly detection systems and constant tracking of its performance
Position Qualifications
Core Competences:
Deep understanding of statistical and predictive modeling concepts, machine-learning approaches, clustering and classification techniques, and recommendation and optimization algorithms.
Good applied statistics skills, such as distributions, statistical testing, regression, etc.
Capable to analyze large, complex, multi-dimensional datasets with a variety of tools
Excellent understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms (ex: k-NN, Naive Bayes, SVM, Decision Forests, etc.)
Accomplished in the use of statistical analysis environments such as R, MATLAB, SPSS or SAS
Great communication skills and capable to adapt the message to different audiences
Good scripting and programming skills like SQL, Python, Java and C/C++
Knowledge of relational databases such as Hadoop-based data mining frameworks
Data-oriented personality
Capable to adapt and respond to Change
Minimum Qualifications & Experience Requirements:
Degree in Computer Science or Mathematics focusing on operations research, applied statistics, data mining, machine learning or related field.
up to 2 years' experience (if with data analytics even better)
English Skills
