Background
The Cyber Defense Center (CDC) at Volvo Group IT situated in Gothenburg is supporting Volvo Group in building and enhancing cybersecurity capabilities to protect business operations and information. We are now hiring another person passionate in cybersecurity to our department of ten persons that will support Volvo Group's on-going journey in building an IT landscape on modern platforms. An important part of the CDC is the hybrid security operations center function which daily monitor, detect and respond to threats.
The role
Working in the CDC means that you can take on different activities such as threat hunting, cybersecurity incident management, enhancing monitoring, detection and response capabilities, supporting projects with cybersecurity competence, educating colleagues or being a part of our vulnerability management process etc. As a part of this team you will be able to work with different areas where your competence or desire to develop best fits. We believe that the key to our success is daring to challenge our current ways of working and having fun while doing it.
Who are you?
To be successful in this role we believe that you have technical interest, is passionate about cybersecurity and is curious about emerging trends within the market. You like to work in a team and can drive things to completion, which means that being proactive and willing to take ownership is something you enjoy. Since we are a global organization it is important that you like to interact with people and that you have good communication skills. We think that you have a few years background working within the cybersecurity area and have a deep urge to develop your skills within cybersecurity.
You work in a professional way with focus on quality and can with support from the team plan, schedule and monitor own work. Most importantly are we hiring persons with right attitude more than finding the exact match regarding technical skills and capabilities.
Technical skills and capabilities:
Understanding and experience of cybersecurity related tools, cybersecurity incident process, computer networking, routing and switching, SIEM, IDS/IPS, vulnerability management etc.
Understands IT industry practice and information security standards/best practices within area of expertise
Basic understanding of how information security (e.g. business continuity planning, information classification, risk management) contribute to the cybersecurity domain
Understanding of a cybersecurity framework and how it affects an organization
Absorbing technical information when it is systematically presented and applying it effectively
Experience from cybersecurity incident process monitoring, detection and response
Experience of cloud-based security (Azure, AWS)
Certifications within the area is preferred
Fluent in English, written and spoken
