The group you will be a part of is a team of 5 talented and well skilled Customs Specialist working in areas such as Origin & Solicitation, Classification, special procedures such as Inward Processing Relief, Outward Processing Relief among others. All this to support and pave the grounds for our daily Customs Operations team as good as possible. We have a highly open and energetic work environment where we support each other and continuously strive for improvement and welcome new and creative ideas. We collaborate in a global surrounding with organizational stakeholders such as Inbound & Outbound Logistics, Manufacturing, After-market, Pre Production Plant as well as our Suppliers all over the world and to ensure that import and export business are conducted in compliance with internal and external rules and regulations. But most important, work with Customs related topics in the best possible way.

What you'll do

In this position you will manage the operational team on day to day level, manage inquiries and audits from customs authorities. Your leadership skills will motivate and inspire the team to do their best work and make optimal use of their talents. You should be an excellent communicator so that everyone understands our goals and their role achieving them. You will handle in-house customs operations and where appointed manage customs agents. You will apply for and manage customs permits and simplified procedures where necessary. This role requires you to work out and implement cost savings opportunities pertaining to duty regulations, origin rules, simplified procedures and classification. Continuously reviewing existing import and export flows in viewpoint of process security and compliance and escalate issues deemed "Regional" or "Global" in scope.

You will also:
* Handle in-house customs operations and where appointed manage customs agents
* Daily customs operations including contact with local Customs.
* Manage and implement processes related to customs permits and simplified procedures
* Manage inquiries and audits from customs authorities within their local area of responsibility
* Continuously review existing import and export flows in viewpoint of process security and compliance inside and outside of Supply Chain Management
* Work with customs activities deemed "local" in scope
