hela Sverige In this role you will be part of "Center of Competence Power Quality" (former FACTS), a business unit within Hitachi Energy. FACTS technology enables power systems owners to increase their existing power systems' capacity while improving electrical stability. The result is more electrical power can reach consumers with minimal environmental impact after shorter project times and at lower investment costs. This pioneering technology is developed at the Power Quality unit in Västerås and sold to customers worldwide.
Service Control Engineering, a team of 8 engineers, works with various tasks related to maintaining the entire control system for our customer world-wide. We take care of our installed base all around the world serving customers with a reliable system.
As a Control Engineer, you will manage control functionality from commissioning through the plant's lifecycle, including the warranty period. Your tasks will include fault tracing and corrections, covering tendering, design, implementation, verification, and commissioning of control system components. You will frequently collaborate with engineering teams, project managers, Hitachi Energy offices, suppliers, and customers to meet unique control functionality requirements.

Your responsibilities
Working in challenging service and updating projects to meet customer requirements and expectations related to the control system which also can include HMI and MicroScada besides control system updates.
Working with high quality deliveries and cost-effective engineering solutions technology.
Focusing on areas including fault tracing and correction, design and implementation to verification and commissioning of various contents of control system deliveries to fully meet customers' requirements.
Collaborate internally and globally with customers or responsible in the regions to ensure customer successes.
Deliver according to customer expectations within budget and expected quality.
Your background
A BSc or MSc in engineering, with a specialization in Electrical Engineering, Power systems, automatic control theory, software engineering or similar is required.
Preferably you combine your education with some years of experience as a control engineer, working with deliveries of electrical power plants, converter stations, process control systems or substation automation.

You have good social skills, as this job entails a great deal of customer contacts and close cooperation with colleagues and suppliers.
Hitachi Energy is a global company, so proficiency in both written and spoken English is essential. Knowledge of Swedish is an advantage.
