hela Sverige The Security and Body Electronics section, 94230, is responsible for design, implementation and verification of software and hardware for functionality in the Central Electronic Module (CEM) and the Vehicle Computational Unit (VCU1). The section is also responsible for functionality and components within Alarm, Remote and Immobilizer systems as well as the electrical system solutions for Exterior Light, Visibility, Sound Signalling and Locking. The section is part of the unit Vehicle Software & Electronics division and consists of around 65 people working in four different groups.
The Body Electronics group, 94231, is responsible for creating the electrical system solutions for Exterior Light, Sound Signalling and Visibility. The group is also responsible for the development of body controllers, gateway modules and exterior light control modules, all vital parts to realize a high-class customer experience.
We are now looking for a Component Project Leader to strengthen our team. You will act as project leader for all activities related to the development and maintenance of an electrical component. The work includes planning and implementation of hardware and software changes cross vehicle projects.
You will have the opportunity to interact with stakeholders from many parts of Volvo Cars including Power Train, Active Safety and Vehicle Engineering. The work will be done in an agile scrum team using SAFE framework. The team consists of system designers, test engineers and hardware and software responsible engineers.
There will be opportunities to visit suppliers for reviews and project follow-up.
Main responsibilities
* Establish the technical solution in line and project organization
* Secure the final product through quality assuring actions such as FMEA, Design Reviews and test planning
* Secure that design prerequisites are developed in time and fulfilled during component sourcing
* Follow up budget for the component development
* Be the technical contact for all issues related to the component
* Lead the technical team consisting of the supplier and the internal Volvo Cars team members
Required qualifications
* B.Sc. grade within Electronics, Computer, Mechatronics, or a similar level of education
* Experience from working as project leader or team leader, preferably within automotive
* Fluent communication in English
Meritorious
* Experience from software or hardware design for automotive
* Knowledge of System Safety ISO26262 and Autosar
Personal qualifications
* Self-driven and reliable
* Result- and business oriented
* Strong ability to build relations and lead a team forward
* Structured with good documentation and communication skills
