Your mission
In this position, you work to promote and drive compliance with laws, regulations, internal policies and procedures, supporting a culture of integrity and raising awareness of compliance-related matters throughout our organization. Training and educating staff in compliance topics is an important part of the job.
Included in your assignment is to:
Drive the global Data Privacy Program in SMS.
Identify compliance risks, advise on compliance activities and set priorities for the activities in order to reduce compliance risks.
Train and educate people in data privacy, end develop training plans and training material.
Work independently and closely with the business, seek to understand how GDPR and international data privacy apply to the different operations and set effective controls.
Be the contact and advisor within SMS for staff members, compliance officers and privacy officers at group, business area and division levels, and for information security colleagues.
Be the point of contact in relation to the relevant external regulators and ensure incident requirements and notifications are met in all jurisdictions.
Establish policies, procedures and operational processes and templates to meet the data protection requirements.
Maintain records of data privacy activities and co-ordinate in relation to audits.
You report directly to the SMS Chief Compliance Officer. The location of the position is flexible within the European Union.
Your profile
We're looking for someone with solid experience of working in positions similar to this, and a relevant degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration or other related field. Previous experience from international companies or organizations is advantageous, as well as from working with OneTrust and other IT systems and tools applicable for this area. As we're a global organization, you need excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, while knowledge in other languages is beneficial.
