Role description
As a Combustion System Calibration Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in meeting customer 's expectations regarding quality, fuel efficiency, and adherence to emission regulations. Your tasks will involve the selection of Engine Hardware components and the calibration of engine-related functions. You will be instrumental in the development of advanced control strategies and optimized hardware, contributing significantly to our cutting-edge initiatives. Your work will encompass a diverse range of activities, including time spent in the engine laboratory, virtual testing, simulation, data analysis, creative brainstorming sessions, and comprehensive vehicle testing. You will have the unique opportunity to follow your calibration process from initial drafts to test cells, and finally to verification in a live vehicle setting, even experiencing expeditions in varying climate conditions.
About you
• A Master of Science or equivalent relevant technical experience
• Fluent in both written and spoken English
• At least 5 years of experience in combustion engine development, with a minimum of 3 years in engine calibration
• Proficiency in combustion engine modeling and optimization, including experience in leading technical tasks
• Familiarity with virtual calibration tools and methods, with a strong inclination towards continuous improvement using numerical and physical models
